Kiana Smith, performing as aniKa Unique, is a versatile singer/songwriter, violinist, violist, and bassist who brings extraordinary talent across multiple genres including R&B, Jazz, Blues, Classical, K-Pop, Pop, and Country.
Born and raised in Houston, Texas, Kiana's musical journey reached a pivotal moment at age 12 when she performed bass at Carnegie Hall with the Conrad Johnson Youth Orchestraβan opportunity that would shape her artistic path.
Her education in Fine Arts schools from first grade through graduation at Beaumont's Ozen High School provided the foundation for her diverse musical expertise. This training led to remarkable collaborations, including recording "Lift Every Voice and Sing" with gospel legend Yolanda Adams for CNN's Juneteenth Special in 2022.
Currently, Kiana serves as bassist, violinist, and vocalist for the 2018 International Blues Challenge winner, The Keeshea Pratt Band, while also contributing as bassist and background vocalist with the Clutch City Band. Her ability to seamlessly transition between instruments and genres makes her an invaluable collaborator and captivating solo performer.
